01 Overview
BOM Transformer offers a one-time payment model: you pay to unlock and download a cleaned, corrected version of your Bill of Materials file. Because our product is a digital file delivered immediately upon purchase, our refund policy is designed to be fair to both customers and to the nature of digital goods.
We stand behind the quality of our service. If something goes wrong on our end, we will make it right. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
02 When You ARE Eligible for a Refund
We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

- Technical failure — file not delivered: You completed payment but the cleaned BOM file was never made available for download due to a technical error on our platform.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same BOM unlock due to a payment processing error.
- Processing error — wrong file returned: The file you downloaded does not correspond to the BOM you uploaded (e.g. you received someone else's file or a corrupted file).
- Service outage at time of purchase: Our AI processing service was down or non-functional at the time of your purchase and we were unable to complete the audit.
To request a refund under any of the above circumstances, please contact us within 7 days of purchase with your order details.
03 When You Are NOT Eligible for a Refund
Due to the digital and immediately-delivered nature of our product, we do not offer refunds in the following situations:
✗ Not Eligible for Refund
- Downloaded outputs: Once you have successfully downloaded your cleaned BOM file, the digital product has been delivered and the purchase is final.
- Dissatisfaction with AI accuracy: Our AI detects errors based on industry standards and the data present in your file. We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for all BOM formats, industries, or edge cases. If the error report was generated and the cleaned file was delivered, the service was rendered as described.
- Change of mind: Deciding you no longer need the cleaned BOM after purchase does not constitute grounds for a refund.
- Errors in the original file that were not detected: While we strive for high detection accuracy, our Terms of Service make clear that BOM Transformer is an assistive tool and not a guarantee of complete error elimination.
- Requests made after 7 days: Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after the original purchase date will not be honored regardless of circumstances.
- Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations: If your account was suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service, you are not eligible for a refund of any prior purchases.
04 How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on Section 2, please follow these steps:

Include the following information:
- The email address associated with your BOM Transformer account
- Your Gumroad order ID or receipt number
- Date of purchase
- A clear description of the issue you experienced
- Any relevant screenshots or error messages

We will review your request within 3 business days and respond with either an approval or a detailed explanation if your request does not meet our refund criteria.

If approved, the refund will be processed through Gumroad back to your original payment method. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
05 Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. We are committed to resolving legitimate issues fairly and quickly, and direct resolution is typically faster than a formal dispute process.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:
- Dispute the chargeback with appropriate evidence of service delivery
- Suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute
- Permanently terminate your account if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
06 Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unusual situations arise. If you have a circumstance not covered by this policy that you believe warrants consideration, please reach out to us. We review each case individually and use reasonable discretion.
Our goal is to ensure every customer feels they received fair value from BOM Transformer. If we have fallen short of that, we want to know.
